MYOB Greentree’s Job Cost module is completed integral with the rest of the system, including the General Ledger, Payroll, HR, Supply Chain, and other modules removing any need for double entry of data, interfacing, or data getting lost ‘between systems’.

With the flexible structure and mapping capabilities within Greentree, the General Ledger Chart of Accounts can be design and structured independently of the Job Cost structure without any loss of integration or integrity.

Financial Management is at the heart of all businesses; however it need not be the heart of your operational management. Greentree’s ability to separate and map transactions between Job Costing and the General Ledger allows the finance department to design a Chart of Accounts that meets their reporting requirements independently of how Jobs are structured for manufacturing.

The Greentree financial suite offers a comprehensive selection of modules that include all the standard accounting features you would expect of any accounting system, and many features not found in other systems such as GL Transaction Analysis that allows additional and selective multi-dimensional tracking of transaction at a level below the standard Chart of Accounts (i.e. to track FBT costs by person on GL Accounts associated with FBT expenditure, etc.)

Being a single integrated system, every financial transaction is immediately tracked and posted to the General Ledger regardless of which module it was processed in, giving the finance department full confidence nothing is happening elsewhere that they should be aware of.

Using MYOB Greentree’s Job Cost module cost estimates for any manufacturing project can be loaded directly from the quote if using Greentree’s Quote Module or uploaded from another source such as excel.  An unlimited number of quotes and variations can be held within the system, and actual cost matched against estimates right down to Work Breakdown Structure level.

Depending on your requirements, Jobs can be as simple as a list of single-level Jobs or as complex as multi-level Jobs with an unlimited number of sub-jobs and unlimited number of child/grand-child levels.  Each Job can have its own estimate and billing method, allowing for one job or stage of manufacturing to be fixed price and other manufacturing stages to be time and materials or schedule of rates based etc.

For especially large or complex jobs, each job can be further analysed by Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), with optional controls on who and what can be charged against each WBS tracking start/end dates, percentage complete etc.

With this level of detail and analysis, reporting on ‘S’ curves, progress claims, and forecast to complete becomes readily available in real-time.  Using Greentree’s Revenue Recognition capabilities, earned versus unearned revenue can be tracked and even be automatically accounted for and posted to the General Ledger giving a true financial position for senior management.

Any type of manufacturing by its very nature requires by definition a supply of raw materials and as such MYOB Greentree’s supply chain modules are critical to a manufacturing business.

If a cost estimate is uploaded to the job that could have originated from the quote or imported from another source Greentree can use that estimate to create purchase requisitions. The requisitions can be run through a sourcing process to determine if they should be purchased or sourced from inventory, then either purchase orders or inventory transfers are created.

These steps can be further expanded or reduced, even eliminated, to suite your business needs. Naturally Greentree allows for approval and control rules to be applied at any point in the supply chain process, including notifying the originator with status updates etc.

Occupational Health and Safety is an important part of modern industry, for smaller operations a simple Incident Reporting register is required and for larger operations this needs to extend into a comprehensive incident process management solution to ensure every incident is processed consistently and completely based on the category and severity of the incident.

Simple Incident Reporting can be managed within the MYOB Greentree Occupational Health and Safety module, but when combined with Greentree’s Business Process Management and Service modules Greentree is able to apply consistent and comprehensive standards and reporting to any organisations OH&S policy.

This allows processes such as the following to be based on incident category and severity:
